Чай чорний - повинен бути вищого гатунку, мати ніжний аромат, приємний з терпкістю смак. Коричнево - червоного кольору, однорідний, різаний, скручений. У чаї не повинно бути плісені, затхлості, кислуватості, жовтого чайного пилу, сторонніх ароматів, … присмаків і домішок. Чай "Каркаде" повинен бути вищога гатунку, мати властивий аромат для даного чаю, приємний характерний смак, темно - червоного кольору, з цілих квітів, бутонів або пелюсток. Фасований. У чаї не повинно бути плісені, затхлості, кислуватості, чайного пилу, сторонніх ароматів, присмаків і домішок.
